This International Overdose Awareness Day event is organized by Chatham-Kent Public Health, Reach Out Chatham-Kent and the Chatham-Kent Community Drug Strategy.

Kathy Moreland of Moms Stop the Harm will share her lived-experience journey as a mother who lost her 18-year-old son, Austin, to fentanyl toxicity. The session will connect personal experience with the need to challenge stigma and advance harm reduction, naloxone, voluntary treatment, supportive housing and equitable substance-use healthcare.
