This Lunch & Learn webinar, presented in partnership with CareNow Ontario, is an overview of clinical tools that can support better diagnosis and treatment of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), Fibromyalgia (FM), and Positional Orthostatic Tachycardia Sydrome (POTs). in 2026. the Alliance introduced a new Common QIP Indicator for our sector: "Number of New Clients/Patients." 

This new indicator was chosen by Alliance members to replace "Client Involvement in Decisions about their Care," which Ontario Health discontinued in 2025.Technical specifications were developed in partnership with the Improvers Working Group. 

This handout that was shared during the webinar, Thirst-quenching conversation: Evaluation and reporting in health promotion. It draws from the research paper titled Round Peg in a Square Hole (Journal of Public and Non-profit Affairs, Vol 10, No.2, 2024), which explores what can happen when reporting and evaluation overemphasize a funder’s functional requirements - to the detriment of community priorities, organizational values, and professional standards.

Hepatitis C is the first curable chronic viral infection, yet many people remain undiagnosed or disconnected from care. Over 110,000 people in Ontario are living with hepatitis C, yet nearly 1/3 of cases are undiagnosed.

On October 31, 2025, the Alliance hosted a webinar with guests Tayler Brown and Dr. Peter Senior from the CanScreen T1D Research Consortium. 

Our guests spoke about the potential benefits of introducing pediatric T1D screening to Canada, while also reflecting on some of the necessary considerations.

In April 2025, the Alliance for Healthier Communities shared our vision for a Neighbourhood Health Home model of Primary Health Care, which enables regions to attach people to primary health care while addressing health inequities and improving primary care provider experiences. The model offers a path toward connected, equitable, and integrated care for people and communities.
