Stimulus 2023 is a two-and-a-half day event scheduled October 5-7, 2023 in beautiful Ottawa, Ontario. We expect to welcome 1,500 people whose expertise includes substance use experts, nurses, social workers, physicians, corrections staff, frontline workers, people involved in sex work, researchers, and other key stakeholders from across Canada.
The event will be the largest national harm reduction and drug policy gathering in Canada and is being held at the Shaw Conference Centre in downtown Ottawa.
This year's virtual research forum will explore data's role in driving a more equitable healthcare system for people in Canada.
The program combines notable speakers, moderated discussions, and insightful panels, offering many opportunities to connect. In previous years, we've had the honour of the Minister of Health opening our forum. We're also thrilled to welcome Dr. Kate Mulligan as our keynote speaker. Dr. Mulligan is the senior director of the Canadian Institute for Social Prescribing and a leading thinker on health equity.
TAIBU CHC is partnering with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) under the Mental Health of Black Canadians stream to organize and host a national conference for knowledge mobilization and networking on Black mental health in Canada. This conference will bring more Afrocentric knowledge and expertise to the table. TAIBU is excited to host this conference, titled "ACT Now! Black Mental Health and Wellness" from March 22-24, 2023.
