The West Elgin Community Health Centre has served our rural communities for over 30 years.  We work alongside extraordinary people at the Centre and are very proud to be a part of an alliance of community health centres across the province. Our team provides primary care, illness prevention, health promotion services, and a range of community programs primarily to the residents of Dutton Dunwich and West Elgin municipalities.

# About the position 

Locum Family Physician - Primary Care, Community Health Centre

Approximately three (3) months - ideally June, July, and August 2026 Flexible scheduling up to 37.5 hours a week $206.00/hour locum invoice rate 

The locum family physician will provide roster coverage. Clients are typically booked for 1/2-hour appointments with dedicated administrative time before 9 a.m. each day and on Wednesday afternoons. We have a team of medical secretaries and RPNs to support the locum family physician as well as family physicians and nurse practitioners on staff.

Perform assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health education and other medical functions as required according to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario standards of practice and the Centre’s policies and procedures.

# Qualifications

• General license to practice and current member, in good standing, with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. CCFP Certification an asset. 
• Professional liability insurance required. Satisfactory, current vulnerable sector police check required.
