# About the position 

The Administrative Assistant, provides administrative support for the Director, Integrated Healthcare Services and Managers of Primary Care. This role supports efficient operations through appropriate documentation, assistance with data collection, and financial administrative activities. 

# Qualifications

 Essential

  • High school graduation diploma and post secondary education or equivalent training and experience.

  • Minimum two years working as administrative support in the health or social services field.

  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to compose simple business letters.

  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment, serving individuals from diverse backgrounds including but not limited to LGB2TQ community, newcomers and transgender community.

  • Excellent office administration skills including the ability to establish and maintain a comprehensive system of record keeping and appropriate producing meeting notes.

  • Proficient with Windows-based computer systems and advance proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites in particular, excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Flexibility, good judgement and initiative.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Discretion when working with confidential information.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of client service principles and practices.

  • Ability to occasionally flex work hours – working evening and weekends

Desirable

  • Knowledge of community resources in Ottawa-Carleton.

  • Experience in the health and social services field. 

  • Bilingual English/French
