# About the position 

 Community Care, City of Kawartha Lakes (CCCKL) is currently seeking a Full Time Dental Assistant to join our dedicated dental team. This position plays a vital role in supporting clients and families within our community-based clinic and works collaboratively with other dental team members to provide high-quality care. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to enhancing oral health in the community.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures

  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms

  • Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)

  • Ensure patient comfort and provide reassurance during treatment

  • Maintain accurate clinical records

  • Follow infection control and safety protocols

  • Support front desk or administrative duties as required

COMPENSATION 

The wage range for this exciting opportunity is $21.01- $22.97. Selected candidates will be appropriately placed on the organizations wage grid based on skill, knowledge and experience. 

  • RRSP match at 5% after one-full year service 

  • Employee provided health and dental paid benefits 

  • Health Spending Account $1,300

# Qualifications

 Key Competencies:

  • Completion of a recognized Dental Assisting program

  • Certification/licensure as required in [Province/State]

  • Current CPR/First Aid certification

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
