NSS-CoP Monthly Research Spotlight Webinar: Imagine Safer Supply

Join the National Safer Supply Community of Practice (NSS-CoP) on Monday, February 6th at 3pm EST for their monthly research spotlight webinar: "Imagine Safer Supply".

 Imagine Safer Supply is a multi-provincial qualitative research project seeking to explore the attitudes and perceptions people have about safer supply. The project spoke to both people who identify as substance users and people who were primarily involved in frontline service provision to drug users. The Imagine Safer Supply Research Team from the Canadian Drug Policy Coalition (CDPC) will be joining us to tell us more about the project and some of the emerging findings. Speakers soon to be announced. This is a public webinar and anyone can attend! A question and answer period will follow the presentation. Audience members may submit questions using the Q & A box. Webinar: Sickle Cell Disease Quality Standard

On January 26, 2023 Ontario Health released a new quality standard and associated resources for sickle cell disease. 

  • Clinicians are encouraged to consider which areas of the quality standard tofocus on in their organization's quality improvement efforts, andto share the quality standard and patient guide with their networks as well as clients and their families.
  • People with sickle cell disease, their families, and their caregivers can use the patient guide to have informed conversations with their health care provders and get the best possible care. 

On February 22, 2023, Ontario Health is offering a webinar to help you learn more about how to improve care for people with sickle cell disease. it will feature panelists with lived experience and clinical experience, who will discuss how implementing the quality standard will improve care for people with sickle cell disease.

Finance Community of Practice - Kick-off Meeting

The Alliance is Launching a new Finance Community of Practice (CoP) for Finance & Data Management staff in our member organizations. This CoP will make it easier for its members to  connect with peers for collaboration, mentoring, and support. Depending on the needs and interests of the group, CoP activities may include presentations or workshops, sharing sessions, and focused conversations around shared challenges and topics of interest.

The inaugural meeting of this CoP will take place on Wednesday, February 22, from 9:30-11:00 am. This is an oppurtunity for participants to meet one another and make some decisions about the direction and structure of the group. This CoPractice will be led by its members. Shannon Wiens,Vice President of Strategy & Systems at South Riverdale CHC and Robin Page, Finance Team Lead at North Lambton CHC, are the interim chairs of this CoP and will lead the discussion.

Join Healthcare Excellence Canada for two new virtual learning events aimed at promoting patient engagement that is equitable and inclusive.
