This is one of three QIP Summaries published by Ontario Health in 2025, based on the 2025-26 QIP submissions.

Safety in Interprofessional Primary Care shares insights from the Safety sections of the 302 Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) submitted by interprofessional primary care teams for 2025/26, which include the following indicators: 

  • Uptake of electronic tools:
    • Online appointment booking
    • eReferral
    • eConsult
    • Electronic Prescribing
    • OLIS
    • HRM
  • Number of faxes sent

The infosheet provides current aggregate data for these indicators from all primary health care models, as well as some common change ideas and some benefits and challenges related to implementation of AI scribe.
