In this session, our CEO, Amy Coupal, will be joined by a caregiver to discuss the ups and downs of caregiving, along with the free programs and supports that the Ontario Caregiver Organization (OCO) offers to help caregivers along the way.

This live, virtual event will feature a conversation with Dr. Hsien Seow and Dr. Samantha Winemaker, co-hosts of The Waiting Room Revolution podcast and authors of the book Hope for the Best, Plan for the Rest. In discussion with Dr. Mary Lou Kelley, Compassionate Ottawa volunteer, we will hear Dr. Seow and Dr. Winemaker’s real-life stories, their 7 keys for navigating a serious illness, how patients and their caregivers can be hopeful and prepared at every step of their journey, and how much it matters that we all work together.

This can include higher rates of tooth decay, gum inflammation, differences in how anesthetic / freezing work, high or low pain thresholds, and sensory issues that can interfere with good oral hygiene. People with FASD often benefit from accommodations and specialized care during dental treatment.
