Beginning in February, these sessions will help you develop an understanding of trauma-informed approaches that help foster more equitable and inclusive engagement with a broad diversity of people in the health system. Participants will explore practical approaches and instructive case studies, guided by a diverse set of speakers.

The Well-Being Project is funded by the Canadian Women’s Foundation and aims to identify and address the impacts of gender-based violence on Indigenous people’s experiences living with HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C, within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and other emergencies. 

On December 5 at 1:00pm EST, join the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation for a Panel Discussion on Gender-based Violence, HIV/Hep C, and the COVID-19 Pandemic. The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A. Please note, you will need to register for this event.

Every year, the Greenbelt provides $3.2 billion worth of ecosystem services for communities across Southern Ontario. The region has long been a source of economic growth and prosperity, but development pressures are creating challenges for the Greenbelt’s ecosystems to continue being a source of health and well-being for local communities. In the absence of growing investments in Ontario’s Greenbelt to compete with development pressures, ecosystems in the region will soon no longer be able to meet the demand of local populations for water, food, and outdoor recreation opportunities.
