"Thirst-quenching conversations: Evaluation and Reporting in Health Promotion" was a webinar hosted by the Alliance for Healthier Communities, presented and facilitated by Julia Fursova, Gillian Kranias, Kisa Hamilton, and Denise Bishop-Earle of Transform Practice.
During the webinar, Transform Practice staff shared several community-oriented evaluation tools, including the star diagram and paper quilts used as evaluation activities for participants in Black-Focused Social Prescribing program. They discussed the tension that often exists between this type of joyful, participatory evaluation and the formal reporting requirements of funders and proposed a model in which all interests - those the funder, the participants, the community, and the organizational values - are balanced. A 20-minute breakout session enabled participants to gather in groups of four to five to share their experiences and challenges with evaluation.
