#About the position

Some finance jobs are about maintaining the status quo. This role is about driving change.

We're looking for a strategic finance leader who thrives in complexity, navigates change with confidence, and identifies opportunities where others see obstacles.

This is an opportunity to make a tangible difference, not only to our organization, but to the thousands of people who rely on us every year.

You'll be successful in this role if you:

  • Can see both the big picture and the details needed to execute effectively.
  • Are comfortable challenging the status quo and asking difficult questions when necessary.
  • Have a talent for building systems, processes, and structure that drive organizational success.
  • Lead with humility, curiosity, accountability, and sound judgment.
  • Understand the importance of balancing organizational mission with long-term financial sustainability.
  • Never lose sight of the people and communities behind the numbers.

Our ideal Director of Finance combines progressive finance leadership experience with strong technical accounting expertise and sharp business judgment. They are driven by improvement, trusted by colleagues, and ready to partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to help shape the next chapter of our organization's growth and success.

Experience in healthcare, community organizations, or the not-for-profit sector is an asset, but what matters most is your willingness to roll up your sleeves, solve complex problems, and build strong, trusting relationships.
