# About the position
Unison is seeking a Community Health Physician for our Jane-Trethewey site. Reporting to the Clinical and Allied Health Site Manager, the Community Health Physician will be responsible for providing primary care to clients and their families within a multi-disciplinary, collaborative care model that emphasizes health promotion and client education. The Community Health Physician will have strong clinical and interpersonal skills to complement our team.
# Qualifications
- License to practice medicine and membership in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Availability to work one evening per week
- Demonstrated experience in community-based primary care settings
- Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to the impact of social, economic, environmental and cultural issues on health
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team of clinical and program staff
- Demonstrated experience in community-based primary care settings
- Ability to manage all aspects of reproductive health including insertion and removal of IUDs
- Maintain professional development related to youth, sexuality, and related specific job responsibility issues
- Experience serving Unison’s priority populations (seniors with complex needs, people with mental health and addictions, LGBTQ2IA+, and youth facing barriers)
- Commitment to working from a harm reduction, community development perspective
- Ability to speak a second language is an asset.
