This workshop is presented by the Sick Kids Knowledge Translation Program. 

Planning for Implementation Practice (PIP ©) offers a practical approach to developing an implementation plan that applies to all innovations, practice settings, and sectors. PIP© covers the core elements of implementation, focusing on learning and planning. Participants will be guided by The Implementation Roadmap©, a step-by-step planning tool for implementers in real-world practice settings.

Participants will gain a foundational understanding of implementation science and learn to plan for implementation using The Implementation Roadmap©. In addition, they will learn implementation terminology and recognize the five essential components that guide implementation planning.

# Who is PIP for?

Individuals who are implementing evidence in real-world settings, including:

• People working in organizations that are supporting an implementation initiative
• Knowledge brokers, knowledge translation/mobilization professionals
• Researchers
• Practitioners or service providers in the community or other settings (e.g., community centres, daycares, schools, mental health agencies, etc.)
• Policy/decision-makers who want to learn about implementation to inform their work

To get the most out of this workshop, we recommend attending with an implementation project in mind, whether past, present, or future.

After the success of the workshop last month, by popular demand Liz Weaver and Sylvia Cheuy are bringing their newly developed workshop back for one final time this year. This virtual 2.5-hour workshop will guide you and fellow changemakers in crafting your collaboration’s own impact story.

Participants will learn about the seven steps to craft compelling stories, which highlight their collaborative’s successes and progress. Attendees will also be guided on how to craft their collaboration’s impact story in a way that will help attract and retain funders and partners.

This workshop is designed for those who are:

• Implementing a collaborative project and want to better understand their impact
• Playing a lead communications role on behalf of a collaboration
• Guiding a collaborative project through a phase of renewal

Work is a powerful condition of everyday life that can harm or promote the health of workers and their families. Employment conditions and working conditions are two interrelated social determinants of health. Workers who experience structural oppression are disproportionately exposed to precarious employment and hazardous working conditions that are harmful for physical and mental health. As a rising source of health inequities, precarious employment is a key area for public health action. 

Join us for this practice-based webinar where we will focus on how the Canadian public health community can promote decent work – a vital social determinant of health and health equity.

This webinar will be of interest to anybody looking to build individual and organizational capacity to improve health inequities for people experiencing precarious employment in Canada.
