This course is presented by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement

Middle managers shape the daily experience of the healthcare workforce—and their leadership is central to building environments where people feel supported, safe, and able to deliver high quality care. Workforce Well-Being for Middle Managers is an interactive learning experience designed to help leaders strengthen the conditions that enable staff to thrive. This program is ideal for managers in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social work, and other clinical and operational areas with approximately 3–6 years of leadership experience. Participants will learn practical methods to assess well-being drivers and outcomes, identify and test improvements, and lead in ways that foster trust, psychological safety, and engagement across teams.

By the end of this program, you will be able to:

  • Understand the impact of well-being-centered leadership

  • Describe how to measure well-being for your teams

  • Demonstrate the link between well-being work and CQI work

  • Leverage a number of new wellbeing-centered leadership tools

This course consists of 8 sessions over 16 weeks, beginning August 26. Registration deadline is September 9.
