This online workshop is presented by Practice Across Borders.
This two-day workshop provides practical knowledge that clinicians who support refugee claimants can immediately apply in their practice. Participants will develop specialized skills in refugee mental health assessment, treatment planning, clinical documentation, report writing, and supporting clients throughout Canada's refugee protection process.
Rather than focusing solely on theory, the training emphasizes practical application through real-world case examples, guided discussions, documentation exercises, and clinical consultation.
Participants will leave with increased confidence working with refugee claimants, asylum seekers, and newcomers experiencing the psychological impacts of forced migration, persecution, torture, war, displacement, family separation, and ongoing legal uncertainty.
