Pride is a protest. Pride is resistance. And Pride Month 2023 has been a huge reminder that we cannot take the safety of 2SLGBTQ+ bodies, minds and spirits for granted in our societies.
On June 21, National Indigenous Peoples Day is recognized and celebrated across the country. Thousands of people are joining together at hundreds of events, gatherings and celebrations across Turtle Island today and this week, many organized by First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. In treaty and unceded territories alike, Indigenous and non-Indigenous folks are engaging around the history and culture of these lands like never before.

For many Ontarians, primary health care is the entryway into the healthcare system. It takes a team of health professionals who can provide convenient and high-quality health and social services to deliver the best care possible for patients.
TORONTO – March 30, 2023 -- During the pandemic, the Ontario government and Ministry of Health recognized the importance of creating a stopgap to ensure that everyone, regardless of whether they had an OHIP card or not, could access the vital health services they needed. This was swift and prudent judgement that saved lives, helped reduce the spread of COVID-19, and allowed our health system to focus on helping people who needed help.
The Alliance proposes investments in three (3) key areas to keep people in community and out of emergency rooms and hospitals while ensuring efficient use of healthcare funding for equitable health outcomes. Read about them here!
