Indigenous COVID 19 Response Navigator
Terms: Part time, Contract (approx. 25 weeks)
Salary: $34.18/hour

Job overview:
Reporting to the Community Health Team Manager, the Indigenous COVID 19 Response Navigator will provide a range of supports and services including, but not limited to, providing information, advocacy and support to community members and/or their service providers, navigating COVID 19 related health care services, including culturally safe screening, assessment and testing and follow-up referrals and isolation; coordination of COVID 19 communications and accompanying administrative work; Guidance to service providers and community members about programs and services available while Ontario is under COVID 19 prevention protocols such as physical distancing; support at First Nation Access points for closed communities.

Although evenings and occasional weekends will be required, we encourage our staff to maintain a healthy work/life balance.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a Human Services field from a recognized university (Master’s degree is preferred)
  • Registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers or the College of Psychotherapists is considered an asset.
  • Three to five years of experience in a community setting experience
  • Experience working with a diverse, multicultural population considered an asset.
