Reporting to the Manager, Urban Health - Harm Reduction Services, you’ll lead the planning and implementation of our kit making service for vulnerable populations of drug users, act as a mentor to peer workers, volunteers and clients through on-site and drop-in programming, supply distribution, including supporting supply management, work collaboratively with the team to and increase client’s access to social supports, pathways to care, , treatment and treatment supports, including overdose prevention, , aid system navigation and support programme coordinators in the provision of training, programming and supporting scheduling of peer team in the harm reduction room.

As a Harm Reduction Worker, you’ll be responsible for kit making program execution, peer mentorship, supporting evaluation and quality assurance, from developing, implementing, maintaining and evaluating goals and objectives, to supporting in-house harm reduction programs across sites. Focusing particularly on vulnerable drug-using, you’ll assist in linking drug users to clinical care, assist in the provision of internal/external referrals, and provide educational material to drug users and to the community.


  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university, or a combination of some post-secondary education and/or significant experience in relevant field.
  • 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in a community setting, and experience in and program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience working with marginalized communities such as homeless and under-housed people, street-involved youth, psychiatric consumer/survivors, sex trade workers, and drug user.
  • Proficiency in one or more languages other than English, and personal/lived experience of drug use, homelessness, and/or street involvement would be considered assets.

Wage Rate Range: $29,439.60 - $34,667.40 per annum (pro-rated to FTE)
