Lunch-n-Learn Pride Edition: New Tools for Supporting Community and Connection for LGBTQ+, 2S, and other Marginalized Groups
Data show that LGBTQ+ and Two-Spirit people are more likely than others to live alone. Those who don't live alone may not live with other members of these communities. They may not be "out" to the people they live with, and in many cases, they would be in danger if they were. For these reasons, many of them rely on public and commercial spaces to connect with their communities and loved ones. What happens when those spaces are gone? How can healthcare organizations create virtual spaces to support community and connection their LGBTQ+ and Two-Spirit clients and community members, and others who are similarly marginalized?
This special Pride edition Lunch-n-Learn webinar will feature panelists from several primary care organizations and partner agencies who are doing this work. They will briefly showcase what they have done and the lessons they have learned. Their presentations will be followed by Q&A. The webinar will be recorded, and the recording and slide deck will be shared with everyone who registers. Resources and links from the panelists will be shared along with them.
