Community Paramedic-Led Clinic (CPLC) Open House 
Thursday, October 25 - 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Funded by the CE LHIN, our Community Paramedic-Led Clinic (CPLC) addresses the needs of 911 callers and tenants with complex needs in 5 identified TCHC buildings. Our team consists of Toronto Paramedics, an Outreach Mental Health & Addiction worker and a geriatric mental health worker. We provide on-site services, including home visits, on site paramedic clinic, information and referral services and educational workshops. We demonstrate a successful model in empowering the residents to proactively manage their physical and mental health and wellness, and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has allocated new funding to set up an additional clinic in Etobicoke this fall. The Open House at one of the CPLC sites in Scarborough will share the success of this innovative, collaborative health and wellness service model with Toronto Community Housing tenants, community partners and stakeholders, like you.

Community Governance Networking and Panel

The “Building Community Governance” Project brings together Board of Directors and community residents within a Community of Practice, with the opportunity of sharing, learning and building capacity for Governance in Not-for-Profit organizations working within the Jane and Finch Community. The Goals and Objectives are:

  • Goal: To build local capacity and community practice for community governance through engagement with residents and not-for-profit Board of Directors working in the Jane and Finch Community
  • Bring together Boards from Not-for-Profit agencies working within the Jane and Finch Community to identify board training needs and opportunities
  • Engage with community residents who have an interest in becoming members of a local Board of Directors
  • Develop training sessions for local Board representatives and community residents to build capacity in Community Governance, based on identified needs 
  • Promote Board opportunities within the Jane and Finch community Join a panel of local Board Directors, network, and skill share at this event.
  • An opportunity for Board members to discuss common issues, share strategies and explore opportunities for building local capacity for governance
